Valeura Energy has outlined a planned development program on its offshore licenses in the Gulf of Thailand. Later in the current quarter, the company will mobilize a workover rig to the B5/27 Block, containing the Jasmine/Ban Yen oil field, followed by the start of a drilling campaign later in the year comprising five infill wells.
At the Nong Yao Field in license G11/48, a rig alongside the Nong Yao A facility is close to completing two newly drilled development wells that should increase production.
In preparation for development of the Nong Yao C accumulation, the T7 Shirley MOPU has been secured to the seafloor location and has installed all conductors that will house the production wells, while the production risers have been connected to the subsea pipeline.
Drilling should result in first oil during the third quarter. A five-well horizontal drilling program at the Wassana Field in license G10/48 has finished with all the wells in line with expectations. Production has since risen to average 4.9 MMbbl/d. Valeura aims to take FID around the end of the year on a new project to redevelop Wassana.
