Tempil launches enhanced Estik Electronic Surface Thermometer

Micro-thermocouple technology provides for precise direct surface touch measurement without need for constant calibration adjustments

The newly enhanced Estik from Tempil eliminates the need for mulitple temperature indicators on jobsites and improves accuracy and efficiency in temperature measurement for welding fabrication and assembly.

Engineered for a wide range of critical temperature monitoring applications, Tempil’s upgraded Estik eliminates the need for supervisors to carry multiple temperature indicators, while increasing the ease and accuracy of jobsite inspections.

Estik delivers temperature readings with the industry’s highest level of accuracy by directly touching the surface of the materials being inspected. It incorporates the latest in micro-thermocouple technology with a bold digital readout that instantly displays surface temperatures with an accuracy of +/- 2%. Measuring surface temperature from 32°F to 999°F (0°C to 537°C), Tempil Estik automatically reads all standard pre-heating, interpass and cool-down temperatures, and can be used on polished or non-polished surfaces. Unlike other types of electronic technology, such as infrared guns, it is not subject to variables like calibration or distance from the surface, and it is not necessary to know what the emissivity of the surface material is in order to obtain an accurate reading.
