Dominion notified the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that it has accepted the commission’s order approving the Cove Point LNG liquefaction and export project and all of FERC’s environmental conditions.
“The FERC’s review of this project was exhaustive, complete, and reflects consideration of thousands of comments,” said Diane Leopold, president of Dominion Energy. The FERC approval calls for 79 related conditions.
IHI/Kiewit Cove Point, a joint venture between IHI E&C International Corp. of Houston and Kiewit Corp. of Omaha, NB, is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the liquefaction facility.
