CNPC puts into operation of its new production lines for surgical masks

Since the novel coronavirus outbreak, supplies and materials for epidemic prevention, such as masks and melt-blown nonwoven fabrics, have been in urgent need. Putting people’s safety and health as the top priority, CNPC adjusted production plans of some of its subsidiaries, including Dushanzi, Dalian, Lanzhou, Ningxia, Hohhot, and Dalian West Pacific petrochemical companies, for building new production capacity of melt-blown nonwoven fabrics, and putting into place mask production lines to help ease the tight supply in the market.

As of February 29, CNPC has put in place six new production lines of surgical masks with a production capacity of 600,000 pieces per day. With the introduction of 21 mask production lines in March, CNPC will be able to produce 1,500,000 masks on a daily basis, which will add to the supply of masks and other medical supplies in the market, and contribute to the epidemic prevention and control.
