Valero Energy selected CB&I to design and build a 16,000 barrel per stream day (BPSD) UOP ultra low sulfur diesel hydrotreater at its refinery in Benicia, California. CB&I provided the engineering, procurement and construction for the project plus related ancillary equipment and systems. A very tight plot space at the refinery was a challenge that was faced and overcome by CB&I’s field crew.
