ELA Container Offshore Expands Operations to Houston, US

AI Summary

The northern Germany specialist for mobile offshore rooms and modules, ELA Container Offshore GmbH, has hired two new employees for the area of business development in North America. Recently founded in August 2014, ELA Container Offshore now calls nine employees their own.

“In addition to our sales force in the Netherlands, we have decided to establish a presence in North America to steadily expand our operations in the area of offshore oil and gas, focusing on the Gulf Coast area with Houston as our base”, according to Hans Gatzemeier, managing director of ELA Container Offshore.

Now that both employees have completed an extensive four month training program at the company headquarters in Haren, Germany, a business stay is planned for Houston, Texas.

“From 4 to 7 May, we will be attending the OTC in Houston, one of the most important trade shows for oil and gas in the Western hemisphere. Participation as an exhibitor for the OTC in 2016 is also in planning. Our new employees will then have the opportunity to maintain existing business relationships and to create new contacts”, says Katharina Pleus, Marketing manager of ELA Container Offshore.

First appointments and business meetings are taking place during the OTC. Afterwards, the new business development managers for North America will start on site in Houston, representing ELA Container Offshore and presenting the advantages and benefits of the different types of ELA containers.

“We are looking forward to the challenge and are most confident that our ELA Offshore container solutions will be well received by our customers in the North American market. With our world-renowned reputation ‘Made in Germany’, we can impress buyers and users in the United States,” said Steve O Stewart, business development manager North America of ELA Container Offshore.

“The standard 20ft ELA Offshore container provides many advantages and benefits to our customers and potential customers. Thanks to the standard 20ft high-cube ISO dimensions and low-tare weight of 7.7t, the containers can also be used on smaller platforms and vessels. If necessary, the containers can be extended and stacked up to four high to accommodate additional staff”, says Daniel Melcher, business development manager North America.

All ELA offshore units are ‘Made in Germany’ according to German quality standards and have the DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079-1 and CSC certificates. All containers are checked before delivery and are DNV GL approved. Depending on customer requirements, ELA Offshore containers are individually customized, immediately ready for use and are available at short notice.

The main features of ELA offshore accommodations include:

  1. Flexibility on demand
  2. One base type with various accommodation solutions
  3. Easy handling thanks to standard 20ft high-cube ISO standard dimensions
