Unique unveils latest diving innovation

AI Summary

Unique Maritime Group subsidiary Unique Hydra (UH) has introduced the HYDRACraft diving daughtercraft system.

This is designed for diving operations in locations not accessible by larger dive support vessels or for underwater weld inspections.

The craft is deployed from a mother vessel, where a decompression chamber is positioned to support the diving operation. Each vessel is 14 or 15 m (46 or 49 ft) long, and each is configured for extra stability, UH claims.

Another feature is an aft diving deck where the diver gets dressed and enters the water via a 2-m (6.5-ft) single spine ladder.  A 350-kg (772 lb) A-frame davit, also fitted to the aft of the vessel, can be used to recover an injured diver.
