The Oilfield Technology Group (OTG) of Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. Wednesday announced an expansion of its triazine production plant in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Momentive Specialty Chemicals is a leading supplier of triazine products that are used for hydrogen sulfide (H2S) scavenging in crude oil, natural gas, liquefied natural gas, and SAGD (steam-assisted gravity drainage).
The Company has made a substantial investment in the Edmonton plant to increase the triazine production capabilities, including:
- Increased raw and finished material storage
- Plant modifications to provide increased capacity and redundancy
- Flammable triazine production capability and dedicated storage
- Truck loading optimization for increased production flexibility and decreased loading times.
