Global marine engineering services provider Great Eastern Group (GEG) has taken delivery of two Predator inspection-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) systems from Seatronics.
Integrated with SeeByte’s SeeTrack CoPilot, the Seatronics and SeeByte systems provide a complete comprehensive ROV inspection process.
GEG plans to use the Predators to provide improved capabilities for its survey and inspection tasks.
Some of the Predator’s components have been manufactured using nano-technology.
With the easy-to-use, plug-and-play software, SeeTrack CoPilot operators will be able to automate inspection tasks using point-and-click software to fly the ROV. The ROV can also fly autonomously to specified locations.
Using the software, pilots can inspect on the CoPilot interface by simply clicking on a selected area.

Seatronics claims that SeeTrack CoPilot makes piloting any ROV a simpler task, and permits pilot-controlled auto-transit, and stop-and-hover.
It also allows for automated sonar tracking and movement relative to a target.
The 300m depth-rated inspection class ROV Predator offers in-water power and stability capabilities, and has the capacity to address the demanding rugged underwater viewing systems market.
