INNIO Group has gone ahead and inked a definitive agreement along with Enerflex so as to acquire the Enerflex APAC aftermarket business operations across Australia, Thailand as well as Indonesia.
The transaction happens to advance the strategy of INNIO to go ahead and strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific – APAC region and also elevate the proximity towards customers. Notably, the transaction is indeed subject to the regular closing conditions along with regulatory approvals. Interestingly, the closing is most likely going to take place during the second half of 2026.
It is worth noting that the Enerflex APAC aftermarket business goes on to function principally across three countries, through eight locations. The company, apparently, has an extensive workshop along with office space and also a strong installed base. This base gets the support from the long-term service agreements with major oil and gas companies.
After closing of the acquisition, Enerflex is going to continue to roll out engineered systems solutions across the APAC region, which will include natural gas compression and processing along with electric power generation via local sales teams with equipment being manufactured from the three facilities of the company based out of North America.
As per Paul Mahoney, the president and chief executive officer at Enferflex, “I would like to thank our strong team in the APAC region for their commitment to Enerflex and their contributions as we built a leading AMS [after-market services] business in the APAC region. The accretive divestiture announced today underscores Enerflex’s commitment to simplifying and optimizing our operations while sharpening our focus on our core regions of North America, Latin America, and the Middle East. Enerflex and INNIO share a long-standing global relationship, including Enerflex’s role as a channel partner across our core regions, and we look forward to building on this partnership.”
The fact is that this acquisition is going to enable INNIO so as to complement its portfolio within APAC and also reinforce its bent toward customer-centric solutions.
It also goes ahead and offers a solid platform when it comes to future growth in the region, hence building on the acquisition of Souer in Thailand in 2024 by INNIO.
The chief financial officer of INNIO Group, Dennis Schulze, states that “by integrating Enerflex’s expertise in the APAC region, we strengthen our service portfolio, deliver greater customer value, and accelerate growth in APAC. Enerflex has been a valued and long-standing partner of INNIO, and we look forward to building on this partnership in the future.”
