As Singapore’s chemical industry continues to grow, Jurong Island is a hotbed of project activity. Having participated in numerous projects on the island, CB&I was retained by ExxonMobil Singapore Pte Ltd. to design and construct two field-erected pressure vessels.
The two vessels-a pyrolysis fractionator tower and a quench water tower-were constructed onsite to eliminate the need for large transporters and wide access ways. The onsite project also allowed work in the area immediately surrounding the vessels to commence on independent schedules.
