Two Offshore Contracts in Saudi Arabia of $600m Granted

Saipem has been awarded two offshore contracts in Saudi Arabia as per its present long-term agreement with Aramco, which has been issued as contract release purchase orders – CRPOs with a valuation of almost $600m in Saudi Arabia.

Of the two offshore contracts in Saudi Arabia, the first contract, which is the CRPO 162, runs for 32 months and goes on to cover the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation -EPCI of almost 34 km of pipeline of 20-inch and 30-inch diameters.

It also goes on to include the related topside works at the Berri and Abu Safah oil fields.

CRPO 165, which is the second contract, happens to have a 12-month term and also involves subsea intervention work at Marjan field, in addition to the EPC of 300 m of onshore pipeline along with the associated tie-ins.

Saipem looks forward to using construction vessels that are already functioning in the region in order to carry out offshore scope.

Fabrication, when it comes to both the projects, is going to be performed at the Saudi yard of Saipem that’s located in Dammam – Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators—and is supporting the objective of the company to expand and also strengthen the local industry capacities.

These awards also go on to further reinforce the long-established relationship of Saipem with Aramco.

In October 2025, Saipem went on to win new offshore drilling deals in addition to contract extensions amounting to almost $135m, or €116.41m, hence in a way strengthening its presence across major areas like West Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Far East.

Santorini, the drill ship, is going to keep operating across Ghana as well as Côte d’Ivoire for Eni Ghana Exploration & Production as well as Eni Côte d’Ivoire.

In September 2025, Saipem was awarded a $1.5bn, or €1.28bn, contract from the Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center – TP-OTC in order to carry out the third phase of the Sakarya gas field development based in Türkiye.

Apparently, situated almost 170 km offshore from Filyos in the Zonguldak province, the Sakarya gas field is majorly regarded as the largest offshore natural gas find in Türkiye.
