EM&I ODIN contract for Pacific Drilling

EM&I’s ODIN technology has been selected for one of the world’s most advanced drillship fleets

Pacific Drilling has awarded EM&I a fleet wide agreement to provide UWILD (underwater inspection in lieu of drydock) services using the company’s proprietary ODIN technology.

Pacific Drilling’s fleet of eight Drillships represents one of the youngest and most technologically advanced drilling fleets in the world.

Judy Burdett (CMO) said “We had very positive and productive meetings with Pacific senior management in Houston. This resulted in the creation of this important agreement which was followed by a contract to carry out an ODIN diverless UWILD on the ultra-deep water Pacific Bora drillship.”

The work on Pacific Bora will take place offshore Nigeria and will not require the asset to come off hire. The project introduces several ‘world first’ innovations including the inspection of critical moon pool welds using specialised remote cameras.

Subsea Processing Systems Transforming Reservoirs

The deployment of subsea processing systems is revolutionizing maritime energy production by moving complex extraction and treatment functions to the seafloor. By integrating subsea boosting and separation technologies, operators can achieve superior offshore reservoir optimization, enabling longer tieback distances and significantly increasing recovery rates from deepwater fields.
