IndianOil has emerged as one of the best employers in India in a study jointly conducted by The Economic Times & Great Place to Work Institute, covering 791 Indian companies and more than 1.5 lakh employees.
IndianOil moved up to the 34th rank among the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For listing for 2016. It is the sole company in the oil & gas sector. Only three PSUs are in the list, the other two being NTPC and Power Grid Corporation.
Based on research of over 25 years, Great Place To Work Institute defines a great workplace as one where employees trust the people they work with, have pride in the work they do and enjoy the company of their co-workers. Trust is the defining principle of such great workplaces.
Congratulating the employees, Mr. Verghese Cherian, Director(HR), said, "We IndianOilPeople have an inherent pride in the vision of our organisation to be ‘The Energy of India' that intrinsically motivates us to do our best both individually and collectively, demonstrating our core values of Care, Innovation, Passion & Trust."
"Such survey findings validate that these core values are very much at work in the organisation. However, irrespective of the ranking, a typical IOCian always feels that IndianOil is the greatest place to work with and grow." he added.
He urged the IOCians to keep striving for personal and corporate excellence.
It has been a great year for IndianOil as it also clocked the highest profit of Rs. 10,399 crore in FY 2015-16.
