Last week I spoke to the engineering team at UniversalPegasus International about their innovative use of ROV technology to overcome the challenge of collecting information for mature subsea wells fordeepwater decommissioning projects. They shared a very interesting Gulf of Mexico case study with me which I thought you might find useful. The paper includes:

  • Ananalysisof a recent project involving the decommissioning of several deepwater subsea rigid jumpers, flying leads, and other subsea equipment using novel ROV applications
  • Areview of challenges associated with the depletion of original equipment knowledge and solutions to handle outdated equipment and methodology for deepwater projects
  • A study of how innovative improvements to ROV functionality and toolingbefore offshore execution led to cost savings by enabling synchronisation with P&A operations

You can access the whitepaper at

I hope you find this a valuable resource and I look forward to your comments or feedback.

Kind regards
