The Preliminary Conference Program promoted by AIS and ISA ITALY associations is published. It promises interesting contributions from the academic and industrial world and will explore topics of great relevance and modernity concerning the evolution of technologies in automation and instrumentation.
Milano, April 24, 2018 – Everything is ready for the second edition of the AUTOMATION INSTRUMENTATION SUMMIT , which will take place in Belgioioso (PV), Italy in July 2018 and will once again be a unique opportunity to share know-how and innovation with the main players in the fields of automation, EPCs, manufacturers of instrumentation, valves.
The organizational machine started with due advance, prompting the immediate interest of the companies and the academic world, as well as the Italian and foreign technical press that will support the promotion of the event and enrich the specially designed Media Corner.
More than 60 companies have already confirmed their participation as exhibitors, while the Preliminary Conference Program is published. It will be rich in technical and scientific contributions thanks to the presence of the Rector of University Milano Bicocca, Maria Cristina Messa, Paolo Coletti from Techint and Federico Mazzanti from XSIGHT by SAIPEM, who will be the protagonists of the Key speeches and will provide their personal vision regarding the future of the instrumentation world.
The Opening Ceremony will be held by Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO of Maire Tecnimont, while the Presidents of the two Associations promoting the Summit, Diego Bertazzo of AIS and Matteo Finardi of ISA Italy, will give their welcome to the guests.
The themes chosen for the conference presentations reflect the products and services presented in the
exhibition area. The contents range from the 4.0 analysis systems to the Cybersecurity, from the
implementation of a control system with a high security process to the future of industrial IOT, from the
provision of data in the digital era to the impact of IOT on security, data protection and privacy up to the
responsible approach to the ecosystem.

Key Speeches – Speakers Profiles
Pierroberto Folgiero, Chief Executive Officer of Maire Tecnimont, holds a degree in Economics at L.U.I.S.S. University of Rome. He began his career at Agip Petroli and at Ernst & Young, then holding the role of Corporate Finance Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. After experiences in management at Wind Telecomunicazioni SpA and Tirrenia di Navigazione SpA, since September 2010 he has been an integral part of the Maire Tecnimont Group.
Maria Cristina Messa is Tenured Professor of Diagnostic Imaging. Since October 2013 she has been the Rector of the University Milano Bicocca and since 2015 she has been a member of the Board of Rectors of Italian Universities (CRUI),in particular she is Delegate for the Research. Since November 2016 she has been a member of the Coordination Committee of Human Technopole; from June 2017 she is a member of the National Observatory of the specialized medical education of MIUR. In July 2013 she was appointed by the Minister of Education among the Italian Delegates for Horizon 2020, in particular for the Research Infrastructures. She was Vice President of the National Research Council (CNR), from 2011 to September 2015. She has worked for important research institutes in Italy and abroad and is the author of over 180 scientific publications. Paolo Coletti is Engineering Director of Techint Engineering & Construction – Engineering Center of Milan since 2015.
In Techint E & C he has followed, as head of various departments, projects in power, oil & gas and petrochemistry; in addition, from 2014 to 2015, he was also Managing Director of Techint India Pv.Ltd. based in Mumbai. Graduated in Nuclear Engineering, he worked in large groups such as Agip SpA, Ansaldo Components, ABB Sae Sadelmi and Alstom Power Italia.
Federico Mazzanti is currently Engineering Manager for Onshore-Offshore of the “XSIGHT by SAIPEM” division and Chairman of Moss Maritime AS, Norway. Graduated in Chemical Engineering, he worked in research and development at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics and then landed in the Oil & Gas industry, first in Snamprogetti and then in SAIPEM. In SAIPEM he played key roles in the execution of Onshore and Offshore EPC Projects at SAIPEM France and SAIPEM Italy. In 2014 he received the prestigious “Innovation Trophy” for Best Management Process Innovation.
